The country’s largest city and its cultural, political, and economic heart, Vienna consistently ranks among the world’s most livable cities thanks to its perfect mix of imperial grandeur, Art Nouveau charm, and a modern, creative vibe.

The city proudly blends Baroque churches and aristocratic palaces with Jugendstil masterpieces and modernist buildings from the era of Klimt, Freud, Schiele, and Mahler. Historic cafés sit next to contemporary museums; lush 19th-century gardens meet cutting-edge art galleries; and traditional beer halls share space with innovative new restaurants.
