The trip

1^ST DAY: ARRIVAL 

Arrival at the hotel at Lake Garda, welcome dinner, dinner and overnight stay.

2^ND DAY: GARDONE RIVIERA, SALO’, DESENZANO

 Breakfast at the hotel and meeting and departure to Gardone Riviera: visit to The Vittoriale degli Italiani, in Gardone Riviera, has been the last Gabriele D'Annunzio’ s residence.

Remarkable monument indeed, defined as the citadel that rises within a spectacular landscape!

Transfer to Salò and guided tour: the historical centre still preserves places that bear witness to Salo's important past. First and foremost, the Duomo, a building straddling the Gothic and Renaissance styles, which houses many works from various eras. As a reminder of the strong ties between Salò and Venice and the loyalty the town always reserved for the Serenissima, one can admire the palaces in the streets of the centre and along the lakefront, especially the Town Hall, set up in the building of the Magnifica Patria and the Palazzo del Podestà.

Lunch at the restaurant.

Transfer to Desenzano, walk through the historic centre and along the lakefront.

Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

3^RD DAY: VERONA AND SIRMIONE 

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Verona, panoramic tour with your coach with a general overview of the city, allowing you to see the Renaissance gates Porta Nuova and Porta Palio, the Castle and Ponte Scaligero bridge, Arco dei Gavi arch, Ponte Pietra bridge and Roman Theatre. The tour then continues with a walking tour of the historic centre, stopping at the most characteristic and historically and artistically important sites: Juliet's House, Piazza dei Signori, Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza Brà, Arche Scaligere and the Arena with an internal visit. The climb up the hill can be replaced with a visit to the Basilica of St. Zeno (not on Sunday mornings: it is inaccessible due to liturgical services).

Lunch in a typical Pizzeria.

In the afternoon, transfer to Sirmione, tour by boat all around the extremity of the peninsula: the thermal baths, the Mediterranean vegetation, the remains of the Roman villa, the sulfureous spring bubbles that rise, such as a geyser, and, obviously, the fortress can be seen entirely in the middle of the water.

Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

4^th DAY: RETURN
