Franciacorta is a broad wine-growing area located west of the city of Brescia, covering the territory south of Lake Iseo. It is world famous for the production of sparkling wine made with the classic method, which
takes its name from this region: Franciacorta. This DOCG wine is certainly an Italian excellence, but the
entire territory is interesting for its natural, architectural, artistic and cultural richness. In many cases, the wineries themselves are located in Renaissance or 19th century villas, with Italian-style parks and gardens.
